Refund & Cancellation Policy
Effective Date: January 1, 2025
This Refund & Cancellation Policy outlines the terms under which Eloya Technologies handles refunds, cancellations, and chargebacks for Tamil Creator subscriptions and purchases.
1. Subscription Cancellation
1.1 Cancellation Anytime
You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time, without penalty or requirement to provide a reason. Cancellation is available through:
- Account settings → Subscription section
- Email request to [email protected]
- Cancellation portal provided by Dodo Payments
1.2 Effective Date of Cancellation
Your subscription will be cancelled at the end of the current billing cycle:
- Monthly plans: Cancelled at the end of the current month
- Annual plans: Cancelled at the end of the current year
You will continue to have access to Pro features until the end of the billing cycle. After that, your account will revert to a free (Guest Mode) account.
1.3 Data After Cancellation
Upon cancellation of your subscription:
- Your account and saved projects will remain accessible in free mode
- Pro-exclusive features will no longer be available
- Usage limits will revert to free tier limits
- We will not delete your account or data unless you request it
2. Refund Policy
2.1 No Automatic Refunds
Refunds are processed at the sole discretion of Eloya Technologies. We do not offer automatic or mandatory refunds simply because you change your mind or are unsatisfied with the service.
2.2 Refund Eligibility
Refunds may be considered in the following limited circumstances:
Service Unavailability
If Tamil Creator is unavailable for more than 7 consecutive days during your billing period due to our fault.
Billing Error
If you were charged twice for the same subscription or billed incorrectly.
Unauthorized Charge
If you did not authorize a charge and notify us within 30 days.
Grace Period (First 7 Days)
New subscribers may request a full refund within 7 days of their first charge if the service does not meet basic functionality expectations. This is a one-time courtesy.
2.3 No Refunds For
Refunds are NOT provided for:
- Change of mind or dissatisfaction with service features
- Accidental purchases or clicking "Subscribe" by mistake
- Features not matching personal expectations (other than fundamental non-functionality)
- Cancelled subscriptions during the billing period (you retain access through period end)
- Violations of our Terms of Service
- Chargebacks filed against us (see Section 3 below)
2.4 Refund Request Process
To request a refund:
- Email [email protected] with the subject "Refund Request"
- Include your account email, order date, and detailed reason for the request
- We will review your request within 5-7 business days
- If approved, the refund will be issued to your original payment method within 7-10 business days
2.5 Refund Timeline
If a refund is approved:
- Refunds are issued to your original payment method (credit/debit card)
- Processing may take 5-10 business days depending on your bank
- Some payment processors may require additional verification
3. Chargebacks and Disputes
3.1 Chargeback Policy
If you file a chargeback with your bank or payment processor regarding a Tamil Creator charge:
- Your account will be suspended immediately
- You will not be eligible for refunds through our normal process
- We may take legal action to recover chargeback fees and damages
Important: Chargebacks should only be used as a last resort when you have attempted to resolve the issue with us directly. Please contact support before filing a chargeback.
3.2 Dispute Resolution
If you have a dispute regarding a charge:
- Contact us at [email protected] within 30 days of the charge
- Provide your account email and detailed description of the dispute
- We will investigate and respond within 7 business days
- If we cannot resolve it to your satisfaction, you may pursue other remedies
4. Billing and Payment Processing
4.1 Recurring Billing
Pro subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis:
- Monthly subscriptions are billed on the same day each month
- Annual subscriptions are billed on the same date each year
- Billing occurs 24 hours before your subscription renews
4.2 Billing Issues
If your payment fails:
- We will attempt to retry the payment 3 times over 5 days
- You will receive email notifications of failed payments
- If payment continues to fail, your subscription will be cancelled
- Update your payment method in account settings to prevent cancellation
4.3 Payment Processor
All payments are processed securely through Dodo Payments. We do not store your credit card information. For payment-related inquiries, refer to Dodo Payments' terms and policies.
5. Tax and Regulatory Compliance
All prices displayed are exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Depending on your location, you may be required to pay value-added tax (VAT), goods and services tax (GST), or similar taxes on your purchase. These taxes will be added at checkout and charged in addition to the subscription price.
We may need to collect and remit taxes based on your billing address. Tax requirements vary by jurisdiction and are calculated at checkout.
6. Free Trial (If Offered)
If we offer a free trial of the Pro plan:
- Free trials are limited to one per user/email address
- To avoid being charged, you must cancel before the trial expires
- If charged after trial, you may request a refund within 7 days
- We will send email reminders before trial expiration
7. Promotions and Discounts
Promotional codes and discount offers:
- Are non-refundable once applied and used
- Cannot be combined with other offers unless explicitly stated
- Expire on the date specified or 30 days from issue, whichever is earlier
- May be revoked or limited to certain users at our discretion
8. Account Termination by Us
If we terminate your account due to violation of our Terms of Service:
- No refund will be issued for the remainder of the billing period
- Your access to paid features will be immediately revoked
- Any promotional credit or discount will be forfeited
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" above.
Changes will not apply retroactively to refund requests already submitted. Current subscribers will retain existing refund terms for their current billing cycle.
